Please read these terms carefully. They apply to all exterior cleaning services we provide across Northland.

1. Access to Water On-Site

The client agrees to provide reasonable access to a working mains water supply and outdoor tap at the property at no charge to Exterior Cleaning Solutions. Where on-site water is unavailable or insufficient, additional charges may apply for water supply, or the scheduled work may be postponed until a suitable supply is arranged.

2. Pre-Existing Property Damage Waiver

Exterior surfaces in the Northland climate are subject to wear, weathering, and pre-existing damage. The client acknowledges that issues such as failing paint, cracked render, loose mortar, perished sealant, degraded roofing, rotten timber, or previously damaged surfaces may not be apparent prior to cleaning and may be revealed or affected during the cleaning process. Exterior Cleaning Solutions will carry out all work with reasonable care but accepts no liability for damage arising from pre-existing defects, poor maintenance, or surfaces not fit for cleaning. Where practical, we will notify the client of any visible concerns before commencing.

3. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date for residential clients and within 14 days for commercial clients within the Northland region. Accepted payment methods include bank transfer and other methods specified on the invoice. Overdue accounts may incur reasonable late fees and recovery costs. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued.

4. Weather-Dependent Scheduling

Exterior cleaning is highly dependent on Northland weather conditions. For safety and quality reasons, scheduled work may be postponed due to high winds, heavy rain, electrical storms, or other unsafe conditions. Where weather requires rescheduling, Exterior Cleaning Solutions will contact the client to arrange the next available suitable date. No penalty applies to either party for weather-related rescheduling.

5. Service Guarantee

We stand behind our work with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the standard of cleaning, you must notify us within 48 hours of completion so we can inspect and, where the concern falls within the agreed scope of work, re-clean the affected area at no additional cost.

6. Client Responsibilities

Prior to the scheduled service, the client agrees to close all windows and doors, remove or secure fragile items, vehicles, and personal belongings from the work area, and disclose any known hazards, fragile surfaces, or special requirements. Exterior Cleaning Solutions is not liable for damage to items that were not secured or hazards that were not disclosed.

7. Chemicals & Environmental Care

We use cleaning solutions selected to be effective while remaining safe for New Zealand waterways, gardens, and surrounding environments when used as directed. The client agrees to advise us of any sensitive plantings, water features, or environmental concerns so we can take appropriate precautions.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, the total liability of Exterior Cleaning Solutions for any claim arising from the services is limited to the value of the services provided. Nothing in these terms limits any rights the client may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies.
